Brazil, as a country, is not poor. It is ranked as the 8th biggest economy by it’s GDP. However, and this a big however, to say this economic power is not evenly distributed is an understatement.

Brazil redefines the meaning of “inequality”, in a way that is sometimes cruelly comical and surreal.

Almost half of Brazil’s GDP is at the hands of 0,5% of the population.

This is one of Brazil’s biggest achievements, so much that USA is currently envious of our inequity and inequality prowess, and is striding fast in order to reach and maybe surpass us.
